Pre-Season Bears Game

Andrew had four tickets to the Bears pre-season game against the Broncos.  He thought it would be fun to take Big Will and Miss M to the game which left one ticket.  I was the lucky winner of that last ticket!  The kids and I walked to the train and rode the train into the city to meet Andrew.  They were so well behaved on the train and not too loud! Or inappropriate! One just never knows what will come out of the mouth of a child!
The kids legs don't keep up and they tend to poop out before arriving at the destination so we took a pedicab! It was a great way to ride!
Everyone has a drink and a snack!
Then the boredom set in. So she started acting goofy.
Then they both started acting goofy. They were in each others business and laughing so hard.  We left after half-time.  It was a nice night but staying any longer wouldn't have been a good idea! Or it would have cost a lot more money for more food and drinks!

Growing babies

So. Much.  She loves to pose for pictures these days.  She also loves to watch herself in the mirror and make different faces and poses.  She's such goofball.  She makes me laugh so much.
Leaving swim lessons one day.  Big Will, Anwen, Miss M and Cater. Holding hands.  Priceless.  These four love each other with no limits.  It makes my heart happy.
I picked the kids up from the gym kids' club area to find two of them with their face painted like Rainbow Dash.  My Little Pony is quite popular in our house right now.
Cater.  In her bed.  Full of crap.  I don't know how she sleeps.
Girlfriend is notorious for taking her diaper off and running around naked.  She needs to wear footie pajamas or onsies to keep her diaper on.  The problem is it is too hot for footie pajamas and we don't own many onsies now that she isn't a baby anymore.
We are getting a new street.  The excitement I feel cannot be explained.  I think we had the most tore up street in all of OP. I've been waiting for this day for so long :)
Just another day with Cate. Headband. Blanket. Baby. Shoes that aren't hers.
 One.
Jump.  She says one a hundred times but doesn't say two or three.
Miss M and Willie spent the night at Aunt Nessie's house Monday night.  Cater and I walked toward the train station to go find them when we knew they were on their way home.
Once we saw them they all started running/scooting a little faster toward each other.
Cate likes to take a shower with whomever she can sneak in with.  The nice thing about showering with Cater is that she is happy to stay in the shower and play while you get out and get dried off and dressed.  She uses the shower as her own personal play area.
The babysitter took Miss M and Big Willie to Target to pick out an outfit for school! They were so excited about their new outfit that they wore it that day...and the next day...I might not be able to let Big Will wear the outfit three days in a row.
I found two homegrown tomatoes and a cucumber on my front porch yesterday. It made my heart happy. I ate a BLT and cottage cheese/tomatoes for lunch.  There are so many days when I skip meals or eat the leftover crap on the kids plate so it was awesome to have someone deliver lunch...sort of deliver it.
Look at that face. She is her father's child.

12 year anniversary

We celebrated our 12 year anniversary on August 7.  We went to dinner.  I'm not sure where we went but I bet it was amazing!

Such babies...I think what kills me most about this picture is that my nephew (the little fella) is now taller than everyone and is a junior in high school.  Good grief.
Like fine wine...we get better with age.
There are days when I want to poke the mans eyeballs out but for the most part I love his guts.  I can't imagine life any different even on the days when I want to poke his eyeballs out!

OP Camping Adventure

Our local park district had a camp out.  Our friend, Cyn, volunteered to take the kids camping. I don't really do camping.  I went over to help her set up the tent and get the kids settled.  There were huge blow up bubbles for the kids to roll around in. They were a little on the small side and slid around in the bubble a bit but they thought it was great. Including Cate, who at one point we, we couldn't get to get out of the bubble. No one was shocked by this. She beats to her own drummer.
Miss M in the bubble thing.

 Rock climbing.
Snug as a bug in a rug.

Pictures of life

Oh Cater!
 Happy Face!
 Funny Face!
I was mad at Cate this particular morning.  She can be a feisty feisty gal.  On this particular morning there was nothing that was going to make her happy.  On the way to the pool I let her lag behind b/c I couldn't deal with her any longer.  Miss M then told me she'd go back and get her.  I was really happy Miss M showed concern for someone else and at this point for Cate b/c she wasn't going to make it.

Cate and Big Will swimming in the pool with their instructors together.
They love the pool and the bathtub.  Cate loves to lay in the bath.  I'm quite surprised she likes the water in her ears.

We went to Toys R Us one day to try and find a big wheel for Big Will.  We left with a new toy for each kid.  We did not leave with a big wheel.  Miss M got a guitar. She loves it. I don't.

There are some days when he just can't keep up without a nap.  There are days when I feel the same.
