We were fortunate enough to have all our friends come over for the 4th of July and have a beautiful day.
We couldn't produce an event as all-out as Easter-palooza but it was a good party. We used paper plates and grilled outside and opened bags of chips and had people bring sides. It was easy preparation and easy clean up.
We started our day by wandering one block west to watch the city parade which was really well done. The kids got a few pieces of candy - some they could eat ie licorice and some they couldn't ie atomic fire bombs and lemon heads. Then we came home and the kids played in the yard and pool. The kids got along well and Miss M shared relatively well. There were minimal meltdowns. The last of our guests left around 5:30 and Miss M was asleep by 7pm and the rest of us were asleep by 9pm. We were exhausted. It's so nice to have a yard to host people.
I didn't take any pictures of the kids playing or adults hanging out. The day just kind of came and went. Mr. Man seems to need a white noise to help him sleep and so I use my phone to turn on a white noise app and therefore don't always have my phone to take pictures.
These were the only pictures I got all day.
