Snow Day

Miss M asks me quite frequently to go outside and play in the snow. My response each time is no. I don't like to be cold. I don't like to play in the cold and of course I can't just sit Mr. Man down in the snow while I play with her. I have both of my kids in mind when I say no. Of course.

So yesterday after Miss M had watched her 80th show I told her to go ask her dad to take her outside to play in the snow. He was excited to take her outside. I got her all dressed and they went out to build snowmen.

They made a Mr. Man and Miss M snow man.

Mr. Man and I watched from the inside. I think he was kind of sad.
Miss M is all about the idea of hot cocoa but has no desire to drink it. She had to come in and get a new pair of gloves and a cup of hot cocoa while Andrew worked on her fort. She stirred some hot cocoa and left.
The fort got serious. Miss M wanted nothing to do with it. She didn't want to get in it. I wouldn't want to get in it either. Why would you sit in the snow voluntarily.
Mr. Man and I stayed inside and worked on peek-a-boo.

It was getting dark so I went outside to find Andrew and Miss M. I found them coming home from a joy ride around the neighborhood on her trike.
Why not end a day in the snow at the ice cream shop. Our favorite ice cream shop was closed but we managed to find a delicious treat.
