Miss M loves when there are big boxes around the house. We usually get big boxes from Costco and then she draws all over them and makes them into her rocket ship. Eventually we get to throw them away when another one makes an appearance.
She wants Mr. Man to hang out in the rocket ship with her. I don't really know why since he usually attacks her but I put him in and let them hash it out. The toilet paper is because Mr. Man loves toilet paper. See below. He eats toilet like an apple. He doesn't really unravel it (bc I usually am too lazy (smart) to put another roll on very quickly since he gravitates to it) rather just takes a bite out of it then laughs about it until we chase him down and rip it out of his hands.
It's been hot enough to buy a little plastic pool and turn the sprinkler on. Miss M doesn't do getting wet. She walked around the sprinkler and stood back and filled her bucket to dump in the pool.
Miss M tells me quite regularly that she's the boss. I tell her she's bossy but she is not the boss. Since she's bossy she demands there not be very much water in the pool (or bath tub). I am sure she's just ensuring neither of them drown when I am trying to multi-task around the yard.
Miss M and I planted some seeds. We have growth. I consider this quite the accomplishment since most of the flowers I bought and planted/needed to plant have died or might not make it to the end of summer (or the end of the week).
I am on a new mission this week. We will see how long it lasts since my fridge is filling up with a lot of food. The kids don't eat a lot and Andrew does work a lot and is therefore not home much right now. I don't know if Miss M eats so many quesadillas b/c she doesn't know what else she likes or because I am too lazy to figure out what else to feed her.
I made a menu of lunch and dinner for each day this week. There have been minimal changes to the menu. I am happy to report that there have been zero quesadillas made this week.
I made some fish nuggets for lunch and fed them to both kids. Mr. Man didn't put them in his mouth and when I put pieces in his mouth they just got spit back out at me. Miss M voluntarily ate cauliflower with ranch over trying fish with ranch. I threw them away and considered it a loss. An hour later Miss M was asking for fish nuggets.
Miss M started summer camp at her preschool this week. It's amazing. She loves it. She has fun. She's worn out. She takes naps again or at least rests in her room for an hour without complaint. Five more weeks of summer camp and then I am going to have to find another summer drop off program to keep her entertained. I have some in my back pocket - no worries.
