My sweet Catherine

Oh sweet Catherine.  There are many hours and days when she feels like the least needy of the three.  She's so relaxed. She doesn't demand things not bottles, naps, diaper changes.  She is kind of needy in that she wants to be held most of the day but that's not a problem.

We all loaded up and went to the doctors office today. Going to the doctors office is quite the experience for both the doctors/nurses and us. We are a traveling circus. I never know who is going to be the one losing their mind or trying to escape the room or playing in the trash or demanding a drink of water from the little cups.  Another example of how Catherine is the least needy.

She had four shots and one oral vaccine today. It was sad and painful to watch although I don't watch. I always look away when they stab the kids with needles.  Miss M covered her ears until the screaming stopped. Big Willie just screamed b/c he wanted to color choo-choos on my phone and couldn't get the phone to cooperate and do what he wanted.

She weighed in at 14 lbs and 14 oz which is exactly double the weight from when she was born.  She charted in in the 26 percentile which is consistent with her previous check ups.

She was approximately 26.8 inches long which is in the 85th percentile.

Her head circumference is in the 27th percentile.  Her head is so much smaller than the other two.

She likes to play in the jumpers for a little while. She likes to do anything for a little while. I feel like I need to make stations around the house to transfer her between so she's entertained and I don't have to carry her around.

She has a little snake tongue. It's funny. It just snakes in and out all day.
She's started rolling from her stomach to her back.  She's been rolling from her back to her stomach for awhile. She's still flips out her wrists occasionally. You can see it on her right arm below. It's less but still happening. I should have brought it to the attention of the doctor today but there were too many other things going on.  Apparently we go back in two months so I can still ask then. I feel like I live at the doctors office.  We go back in a week and a half for Miss M's 4 year appointment. I haven't broken it to her that she's getting two shots. Then I am rushing her straight to school to take her mind off the pain!
She can sit up if she's supported on the sides. I can put her in between my legs and she can sit up and play for awhile.
I love baby legs. I love baby legs more than I love just about anything. They make me so happy.
The doctor asked me today if she was blowing bubbles and making raspberries.  I told her no or rather I said I had no idea.  While we were playing this afternoon all she was doing was blowing bubbles and raspberries including while I was trying to feed her.  It was cute but not so cute when food kept coming out of mouth and going everywhere.
I need to focus on developing a diet of solids for her. The doctor told me to focus on mixing cereal with purees but as I stated before I hate cereal. It's a pain and the kids rarely eat much of it.  The instructions I received were to add a breakfast feeding to the evening feeding in one week. I better put that on the calendar or it won't happen. At age 7-8 months I can add a lunch feeding.
