First Family Race/Run

There are a group of women who run after preschool drop off. The only days that really works for me to run are Monday and Thursday and generally I only run on Thursdays. On Thursdays I have two kids and a stroller with one seat. I started researching for a used double jogging stroller. I found one. I bought it. And now we can all run together.  The kids love the new stroller. They prefer to ride in it compared to any of the other strollers. They have a lot to choose from. We own a lot of strollers.  A lot.  

We signed up for the Arboretum Color Run 5k.  We woke the kids up early (gasp) and loaded the car and drove out for the race. 

We met our friends Alicia and Mary at the race. The girls loved riding in the strollers next to each other. They liked talking to each other while we were running.

We finished. Together. As a family.  It was a difficult race b/c there were so many people on a path that wasn't very wide but over all it was a fun family activity.

They were pumped up. It was such a cold day too.

Big Will was excited but they made the kids wait around in the corral for so long that he got really cold and lost all motivation and energy.  He didn't make it to the run.  We'll try again another day.  He is only 2 so I didn't really except much. 

Miss M was all smiles while she was running.  We have lots of horse races here so she probably thinks she's a professional.
