Headed West - to Colorado

Andrew has wanted to take the kids skiing for a long time.  The problem is we always had little babies that we couldn't leave and who couldn't ski. Not anymore. Two kids can ski and one kid can go to daycare.  Next year or in the future we will have three kids who can go to ski school.

We arrived at the airport early enough to breeze through security and grab breakfast.  The boys sat at the boys table and the girls sat at the girls table.  I love this picture.
We invited Tiffany to come with us to Colorado which means there were six of us traveling.  There are three seats in a row so we were lucky enough to take up two full rows but that means one adult got two kids.  I was the lucky winner on the way to Colorado.

She looks so grown up sometimes.
I would say these two are best friends but Willie loves her as much if not more.

Playing on the phone.
We made it through the airport which was a bit of a show.  Andrew took Will to get the rental car leaving Tiffany and I.  We managed to get two small children, two car seats, six suitcases, a number of carry-ons from the baggage claim area upstairs to the pick up area. It was a mess.  But we made it. And we made it to the resort with minimal detours.  We went to the mountain to check it out and see if we could get our ski rentals before we started the next day.
Everyone was ready to start the day on day 1 of ski school.  Cater was even relatively happy to go to the daycare on the first day.  She caught on to the games on day 2 and day 3 and was not impressed.
I signed up for a day of ski school and then decided at lunch to bail out and ski with my favorite skier.

As we were getting ready to ride the gondola to the top of the mountain for the last time we received a phone call from ski school.  I listened to the voice mail which stated we needed to come get Big Willie b/c he was asleep in the locker room in a bean bag. I didn't see why this was a big deal since I was happy he wasn't crying and hadn't broken anything.  We made it back down the mountain and walked into find him passed out cold.  He was so beat from his first day of ski school.
Miss M convinced Tiffany to ride the gondola to the top to see the kids area with a snow fort.  They didn't play for too long since it's that much colder at the top of the mountain and I think Miss M was pretty tired after her first day on skis.
