The kids and I woke up early and went to the farmers market and bought a bunch of fruits and veggies and donuts. I didn't want to deal with pushing a stroller through the donut line since it's pretty tight so I skipped the single donut line and bought a box of a dozen assorted donuts. Miss M insisted on holding them. She likes the powdered sugar donuts. She eats all the way around it and leaves the middle of the donut where there isn't anymore powdered sugar. I think she ate 4 of them before we made it home. She was covered in powdered sugar.
A black shirt was not a good choice.
We bought green beans. When we got home I thought it would be a fun project to have Miss M help me snap the beans. I have fond memories of snapping green beans with my dad and my grandpa. We'd sit on the porch and just snap buckets of beans. Miss M thought it was pretty fun...then she deserted me before her duties were complete.
She left me.
Mr. Man just loves to lay outside so he just smiled and watched the world go by while Miss M and I worked.
Miss M's preschool had homecoming this weekend. I wasn't really sure what to expect from a preschool homecoming. It was good. I am glad we went. I think it would have been more fun for Miss M if there were less bigger kids. She went in the bouncy house but got trampled on by bigger kids. She didn't freak out like I assumed she would but rather just wanted out. The girls did the obstacle course a few times, played with the bubble table, and drawing table but what they were both most concerned with was the popcorn. We ate a lot of popcorn.
Mr. Man took a snooze. And the girls played on the playground equipment.
