I honestly still feel wiped out from Christmas travels. We were gone for longer than usual. We also traveled to and from Great Grandma and Grandpa's house. We spent Christmas eve there so we could wake up Christmas day there. I have fond memories of waking up at my Grandparent's house on Christmas day and wanted the same for my children.
I have never folded and unfolded two pack-n-plays as many times as I did last week. It was exhausting. I still don't feel like an expert at those damn things.
We had our family Christmas on Monday evening after dinner/baths (thus the naked kids). We wanted to leave as soon as possible on Tuesday morning so Monday only made sense...and I was so excited for the kids to open presents.
Big Willie dug in before anyone gave him the go ahead thus his unwrapping of a tea set for Miss M. He was pretty excited about the tea set though. He played with it for a bit.
He'll be ready for an official tea party at Grandma Nan's in February.
So much sass. She's probably telling me how Christmas is going to play out.
Big Willie playing with his new puzzle. He got so ticked at it b/c he couldn't figure it out. It's likely he threw it b/c that's what he likes to do now when he's not happy. He just throws stuff. Or throws himself on the floor. I picked him up off the floor at Target a few times this evening. I would have been mortified if Miss M had behaved like this when she was an only child. Now I just don't care. I dare anyone to tell me I need to control my kids.
Miss Cate got a train and the kids (both of them) are obsessed with it. I guess it was a good buy. Miss M was excited to receive magna tiles from Poppy and Grandma Nan.
Miss M took the camera.
It's possible she gets some of her sass and attitude from me. Although considering she looks just like her Mimi I predict the sass and attitude skipped a generation and it comes straight from Mimi.
