Miss M's imagination

I don't even know where to begin.

Miss M has gotten into imaginative play. Like talks to herself when she's not talking to us so she literally talks all day long.

Miss M and Grandma Nan created something special out of the plastic toy cow (Big Moo), pig (Pigalyn), sheep (lambsie) and horse (Madelyn Neigh) while we were in Portland in July. Two of them belong to Miss M and two belong to Grandma. I don't know who has who anymore. Miss M's animals live in either the red barn or the green barn and Grandma's live in the other. Miss M could tell you exactly but I stopped paying attention.

She's crazy about these animals. They are included in just about every part of her day. She talks and plays with them more than anything she's ever played with.

She feeds them. One night we had a thirty minute stand off about me not giving the animals their own drink yogurts. She told me she was frustrated/angry/mad at me. She refused to drink her own yogurt since I wouldn't open two more for animals that aren't real.

She left them outside today and Mr. Man found them and was so excited. They are technically his as they came from one of his birthday presents. He doesn't get to touch them or even look at them these days.

She also acts (possibly really thinks!) she's a horse. She is very serious about it. She runs/gallops in horsey races all day. Every day. She wears horse shoes. She lives in a shed even though Andrew has tried repeatedly to tell her horses live in a barn.

I don't know. It's all out of control. But it keeps her entertained and playing by herself. And they say it's good for their brain to pretend play. So we will keep it up for her intelligence of course.
