After the turkey was eaten, the dishes were cleaned, and the guests finally left we were able to spend a couple days as a family just hanging out. It was a fun weekend. I did get to run away and leave Andrew with the kids two of the three days which was pretty glorious. I was actually able to get a few things done.
We went to our new Red Robin and Big Willie downed his milkshake. Not so much his food. Just his milkshake. He would set it on the table and then immediately pick it back up. Repeat. Until finished.
People say you'll wish you took more pictures with your children. I take 95% of the pictures. Andrew and Miss M take the other 5% therefore I am not in many pictures. This picture confirms that I either need to accept looking older or I need to get botox stat. Christmas gift idea perhaps???Sunday we finally felt ready enough to get all the Christmas decorations out and start that process while three kids were awake. It was much better than anticipated. Wait. Maybe that's because Big Will was sleeping. Miss M is wearing my boots that she found in my closet which is why her legs look silly. She loves to put on my shoes and tromp around the house in them.
Miss Cate just watched the Christmas spirit come to life.
Miss M with her little sassy attitude. She's probably just finished doing her "jazz hands" in her funny voice. It makes me belly laugh every time she does it. I asked her where she learned it to which she informed me her teachers taught her. It might be the best thing ever.
The presents that have been received are 95% wrapped. There's going to be a flood of boxes arriving in the next week. I can't wait. I love boxes even though there is only one present for me. I bought myself some new wine glasses that I plan on wrapping up for Christmas. Thank you Andrew. How very thoughtful of you. I don't want Miss M to wonder why I didn't get anything. I did it for the children of course.
