Easter-Palooza preparations

We filled over 100 eggs. With 9 walking/talking children we needed to be stocked and prepared.
Miss M and I made cookies with a new recipe I found but they didn't quite turn out.  She enjoyed the preparations anyhow.
While we made cookies I gave Big Will marshmallows and an egg crate to entertain him so we could get stuff done.
Wr all cut a watermelon together.  Miss M  used a cookie cutter on slices after I cut them. Big Will just attacked the melon with his kid friendly knife.
We dyed marshmallows in water and food coloring.  She picked out the sun hat bc her old one fell apart and wore it all the time.
Aunt Nessie came packed like Mary Poppins with some colored Chia seeds and all kinds of stuff.
It was the first weekend where it was nice enough to play outside for more than ten minutes and wear coats. We got all the toys out to prepare for Palooza.  Big Willie was in love with the roller coaster.  He rode it over and over.  And the helmet just cracks me up.

Miss M was able to figure out how to ride a bike thanks to the patience of Grandma.
Aunt Nessie helped to something with Miss M's hair.
Then it was picture time.

Aunt Nessie and Miss M frosted the not so impressive cookies we made the night before.
The kids like to measure themselves on  the tree so they measured Aunt Nessie too.
Then we waited for the troops to come in.  And boy did they come ready to play, eat junk, and hunt eggs.
