The days of our lives pt 3

Meet Joe.  Joe is Cater's friend who comes over for a standing play date on Thursdays.  Joe is a good kid.  A kind kid. And a curious kid.  He's actually a great kid and was only trying to help me catch the mouse that was running loose in my house when he Fabreezed my basement.  Joe's mother had run to the school to pick up Willie and her older son to bring them here to feed them lunch.  Cater and Joe were downstairs playing so nicely. There wasn't a lot of noise but some giggles here and there.  I should have been concerned with not a lot of noise. I was running around the house while Bekah was gone picking stuff up and talking to Grandma D. Some might see this as me not paying attention to the children. Some may be correct.

Anyway. Bekah comes home with the boys and I smelled something florally but thought maybe Bekah had a car freshener in her car and that's what the new scent was in the house.  Until Owen went downstairs and yelled at us that Joe was spraying something on Cate.  Bekah, being the better parent than me, ran downstairs to find Joe saturating Cate with Fabreeze. She didn't mind at all but she stunk.  The couch was soaked. The tile floor was a little slick from his cleaning but no one was physically harmed in his attempt to rid my house of the mouse. Unfortunately, his efforts were not effective in capturing the mouse as we found him a few days later in a mouse trap. Yuck.

After finding Cate drenched in Fabreeze we had to take a quick break for a bath.  Joe didn't really need a bath as he was the sprayer but you couldn't convince him that he didn't need one and he had his clothes off so fast there was really no stopping him.
Cater didn't mind.  She still loves him and gets excited to see him and play with him.  Especially once she learned he has his own car he can drive.  She enjoys being driven around when seat belts aren't required.
