Auntie Nessa turns Thirty-Something

Well, her birthday rolled around again this year.

It seems like it came really fast. It wasn't that long ago (365 days) when I was telling her she wouldn't be old until next year. I won't bore you with the reasons why this year she was going to be old as it's not important. It's just my quirky issues with numbers.

She's not old. She's still thirty-something so that by default still makes you young right!?!?! I love you Auntie Nessa.

We went to go buy decorations which included balloons.  I hit up the Dollar Tree because everything is a dollar. What's not to love. And they have helium balloons for a dollar compared to other stores. Thankfully we went to the Dollar Tree because after I loaded Mr. Man into the car and turned around I noticed the balloons were gone. Completely. Not even visible in the sky. Miss M was beside herself.  She convinced herself they flew to our house and they would be there when we got home. I couldn't face getting Mr. Man back out of the car and going back in the store so we just packed up the other stuff and headed to the next store, Costco! I remembered there was another Dollar Tree near Costco so I walked in, bought more balloons, gave them my money, tied them securely to the stroller and left.  Success. I tried to put them in the car before the kids to prevent another accidental fly-away. Problem was it was really windy and I couldn't get them in the back of the car without losing them when I got to Costco, I couldn't put them with the kids b/c there wasn't enough room and so they ended up in the front seat with me. I couldn't see to drive so we skipped Costco and came home. We had balloons what more did we need.

Miss M insisted on decorating. So this is part of what Auntie Nessa walking into. I bet she was impressed.

A birthday isn't complete without cupcakes. Or tiaras. Or necklaces. There were princess wands too.
Miss M even shared a cupcake with Auntie Nessa which is pretty impressive considering she usually only shares food she doesn't like.
I am just going to say that I realize my kid is naked. Yet again.  I know. It's not worth the battle. At least she stains less clothes this way.

Happy Birthday Auntie Nessa - Until next year - when you're still not old!

Love you always.
