And...it's a...Girl!

Mimi came to visit for Mr. Man's birthday and thankfully she planned her trip to come a day early. I was able to plan a lot of appointments and get a lot done while she stayed with the children.  The children were alive (even when I had my doubts) when I came home each time.  I think she got quite the workout from toting the 26 pound little man and playing with Miss M.

On Mr. Man's birthday I had a few appointments of which one was to have an ultrasound and OB appointment in the city.  Andrew came with me to both appointments and we were able to see the baby and make the baby is growing appropriately and has all the appropriate pieces and parts and everything is in the correct spot.

We chose to not find out the gender of baby #3 at the appointment.  Since Mimi was visiting and Craig and Jessie & Jack were coming the next day we decided it would be fun to find out all together.  Aunt Nessie was planning on taking the train out to celebrate with us also.

The ultrasound tech had us look away when she determined the gender and she put a picture with the gender in a sealed envelope.  I had asked a friend to make cupcakes revealing the gender when we bit into them for Friday evenings dinner.

Andrew and Craig grilled out for dinner.  We managed to eat dinner and then break into the cupcakes.
The cupcakes were decorated with a little bee for a theme of "What will it Bee?"

Mr. Man was tasked with biting into the cupcake to reveal the gender b/c he didn't get any cupcakes for his birthday.
I was nervous to light a candle for him.  We sang to him and there were no burn wounds.  Jack helped him blow the candle out.
He took so long to tear into the cupcake.
I finally took it upon myself to relieve everyones suspense. There was pink icing piped into the cupcake. I was shocked. I think the picture shows Mr. Man's surprise too.  Miss M had been telling us she wanted a little sister so I think she was happy - even though I am not sure she really understands what is going on most of the time.
 It's a girl!
