The kids did us a favor and slept in really late Saturday morning. I chalk it up to being sick. It was glorious. I woke up feeling amazing. M got up around 8:30-9:00. C got up around 10:00. W got up around 11. They were all kinds of screwed up but who cares.
Miss M and I picked up our friends Jill and E to go to the children's production of Seusical the Musical. It was an inexpensive adventure. The girls did pretty good but the show got long for them by the end. The girls got to pick their own snacks at intermission which I think was their favorite part
After the theater we headed to Naperville to hang out with more friends. The kids played well together until they all got overly tired then things quickly turned ugly and we had to dash out of the house as fast as possible. In the defense of the children it was almost 10pm when we left.
They all snuggled up on the couch to watch some shows. We eventually had to turn the tv on downstairs b/c we were having disagreements on the volume levels. The kids were angry with us for talking so loud that they couldn't hear their shows.
It was fun to have a night out even though it was a night in at someone else's house. The kids are no self-sufficient enough that we can enjoy ourselves and they can play downstairs or by themselves without our constant interactions. I love all of these kids so much.
