Catching up on the past two weeks

Miss M has been going on some safaris to spot wild animals.  She usually comes across a 24 pound tiger that she likes to try and pounce on.  Little does she know that it's best not to mess with an unsuspecting tiger.

She insists that I should take their pictures together but then neither of them pays attention to the camera.
Mr. Man is still finding stairs.
Miss M went in for her 3 year old check up.  It was a cramped doctor's office. Miss M insisted we take the double stroller. She loves riding in the stroller. I needed to take a stroller so I had a place to put Mr. Man when I had to hold the girl down.

She refused to cooperate with the nurse. It was a man and she is generally hesitant of men.  She wouldn't get on the scale to be weighed or measured. I had to get on the scale with and without her. I don't appreciate getting on the scale when it's not my turn.

I did put Mr. Man on the baby scale and he weighed in at a slim 24 pounds.

She was really good for the doctor which was helpful. I still had to hold and restrain her but there weren't tears of misery.

The doctor told us she weighed in at 30 pounds and 37 inches tall.  She's in about the 50th percentile for height and weight. Her BMI measured in around 15.5. Her blood pressure was around 99 over 62. I don't know why they measure these things in kids but they do. They also made her pee in a cup before we left which really means I had to get her to pee in a cup while holding the cup. It's a skill to get a toddler to pee in a cup and to get the pee in the cup. It was gross. We go back at 4!

The doctor told her (directly spoke to her and made sure she was paying attention and listening) that she needed to take a bath every night. It's helped a lot that we can blame the daily bath on the doctor. But let's be honest, she's not taking a bath every night. I think every other night is sufficient.
We were lucky enough to meet Andrew for lunch after her appointment. We usually hit up the hot beef place but Miss M insisted on the golden arches (shocking) and Andrew told her we could go.

You'll notice Andrew is carrying around Baby Maddie.  We were in the city the day before for a doctors appointment and while we waited for the appointment we went to the park across the street. It was pretty cold and no one was dressed appropriately so we went to Water Tower to kill some time. There's an American Girl store at Water Tower. We walked in and before we were there 90 seconds the doctor called and asked if we could come early. I told Miss M it was time to jet. She freaked out on me. I told her we could come back after the appointment (she has never remembered anything I have promised). After the doctors appointment I (excitedly) told her it was time to go home. Well she remembered I had told her we could go back to the doll store. We ended up with a Bitty Baby. She has light hair and brown eyes like Miss M.  Miss M insisted we name her Baby Maddie (since she's a big girl now and all).

It had been a long day. I didn't have the energy to fight another battle. I just wanted to get home. So we adopted Baby Maddie.
Miss M's hair is a curly mess when she gets out of the bathtub. It dries straight but it's crazy how curly it is when it's wet.
Mr. Man is standing on his own quite a bit. He really likes to get into the pantry and pull the cereal boxes off the shelf. Thankfully he hasn't made too big of a mess or pulled a can on his toe, yet. He's pretty happy.  He's hard to change these days. He's like a wild animal. I usually give up and let him go naked and then I am annoyed when I have to clean up a mess.  Oh well. I clean up messes all day long.
