Mr. Man is 11 months old.

Mr. Man is a busy guy these days. He's working on trying to walk and his curiosity is on an uphill climb.

The weekend I went to visit and spend the night with some girlfriends Andrew informed me Mr. Man had taken two steps.  I was excited for him and glad Andrew was able to witness such a milestone. I spent the following week with Mr. Man - all day every day - and he didn't take another step. He would pull himself up and walk along the couch but he didn't take any steps.

Then while we were visiting and meeting Baby Cambria somehow the topic came up as to whether Mr. Man was walking or taking steps. I recounted the story that Andrew had told me the weekend before and then (probably) said he was a liar b/c I hadn't seen any steps the past week. Then as if on cue (to make me look bad) Mr. Man took three steps and then graciously fell to the ground.  It was witnessed by all.  He now will take three or four steps throughout the day but he generally doesn't take more than that without falling down.  His falls are pretty controlled which is nice b/c it doesn't make me worry about him too much.

I was hoping to get some cute pictures of Mr. Man for his 11 month birthday (since I am pretty sure I skipped 10 months) but as predicted as soon as I got the camera out Miss M wanted her picture taken with him.
Here he is working on taking a few steps. He's so concentrated.
He loves to climb stairs and has no idea how to get down them without face planting.

He likes to be outside and really enjoys wagon rides since we got a wagon for his upcoming birthday from Grandma D.

He is a good sleeper.

He's a pretty good eater. He loves his bottle. I don't really want to take it away from him at 12 months. I probably won't b/c I am lazy.

We did buy what we believe is the last containers of formula for him while we were at Costco last week. I will be more than happy to save $100 a month on him switching to regular milk.

He got his first pair of shoes since the weather is getting nice and he's learning how to walk. He's currently got a wide foot due to his feet being thick but the people at the store were very helpful in finding a shoe to fit his feet.

There was a BOGO sales and so I bought Miss M a pair of summer Crocs even though the last thing she needs is a new pair of shoes. I like that she's comfortable in them and that she can put them on by herself.

But being  a parent makes you eat a lot of words. I swore I wouldn't ever buy my kids character shoes and look what Miss M got. She got herself some princess shoes. There weren't very many options. I tried to steer her to a sparkly pair, a Hello Kitty pair, any other pair, but the princesses won out and I don't even really care.

I am worried he's going to be a biter. I am pretty sure he already is a biter. He bites me a lot. I don't necessarily let him it's more that he comes over to gum my knees and I don't see a problem with it until he clamps down on the little bit of skin that's there. And when he plays with Miss M he always attacks her with his mouth wide open.

It usually looks a little something like this. She's happy here so no need to worry. I don't think he's actually bitten her or else I think she' would scream at him more.

And then things went downhill in my attempt to get fun/good pictures of Mr. Man. Miss M was insistent on using my camera. I showed her how to use it and essentially told her she had to be careful and if anything happened to my camera I would break her arms. Of course I wouldn't really break her arms but I needed to convey to her she had to be careful.

The camera is too heavy for her to lift up so this is about the only picture of Mr. Man and I in the same frame.

This is probably the first or second day of the cold he caught from who knows where. His eyes just show how much he doesn't feel good. It's been a rough couple days b/c he is just miserable.

She did catch him on the run. This is common. If in doubt go to the stairs and you'll find a baby.
Of the 50 or so pictures she took there were a lot of her feet.
Or the floor. This is the lovely carpet we have running up the stairs. We did not pick it. We would not have picked it. Andrew hates it and immediately acknowledges such when guests come over.  I don't even care anymore. It's too expensive to change.
She had a photo shoot with her bear. Thankfully he was at her level.
And here's me just doing yet another load of laundry.
There are more pictures from the next day when we walked to the park in the wagon. I haven't had time to go through the 70 or so pictures she took on the way home from the park. I keep thinking there might be one amazing one but I think there are probably just 70 pictures of the bottom of the wagon or of part of Mr. Man's face. We shall see.

Miss M working on her photography skills.
