Block Party

Our block doesn't have a block party. We don't even see majority of our neighbors.  We got a special invitation to the party up the street.  Miss M goes to school with some of the kids thus the invite!

Miss M insisted on wearing her kangaroo costume.  She rode her scooter up the party. In her kangaroo costume which I think she'd sleep in if we let her. She enjoyed riding her scooter in the street since there were no cars.

There was a bounce house also. The kids enjoyed playing in the bounce house. Miss M enjoyed bouncing while Mr. Man enjoyed being bounced around.
Miss Cate just hung out and slept in her pouch.
We left before lunch so everyone could come home and take naps. We went back for the potluck dinner. Mr. Man devoured some watermelon

They had set up a donut on a string game. The kids weren't allowed to use their hands. They tried so hard and for the most part didn't use their hands specifically. They did get creative and used their elbows. The little guy in blue is in Miss M's preschool class along with his twin sister. These two are buddies.
She tried so hard. She didn't give up or get frustrated as she can become very easily frustrated at things.
But she finally got a bite. Victory is sweet.
On the way home she told me she wanted to lay outside and watch the moon and the stars. If the concrete wasn't so cold and her sister didn't need a bottle I would have laid outside with her but it was late and there were things to do. Maybe one day it will feel like there's not 1002 things to do and we can just lay outside and watch the stars.  Or maybe one day I will have to put those 1002 things on the back burner and just watch the stars with her instead.
