We found a new park one day after school. It's new to me. It's not new to the kids as apparently Poppy and Grandma knew about this hidden gem and the kids have gone with them. It was fun and tucked away from the street. It's not really that close to our house but it's close enough to drive there in 10 minutes if we need a new place to burn energy.
Her eyes are so big. And so dark. Group pic - Mr. Man still has his black eye from a week and a half ago. It's gonna take some time for it to finally be gone.
I did take him to the doctor a few days ago to determine if he had an ear infection - of which he does - and asked if he falls an abnormal amount for a 1.5 year old. Geez the kid falls a lot. She helped assess him and thinks he might be a bit wobbly. We go back in two weeks for a 2 month check up for Miss Cate, an 18 month check up for Mr. Man and a flu shot for Miss M. She can't get the nasal flu stuff b/c she had respiratory issues not long ago with her hospital stint. So each kid will get shots. I am taking the babysitter with me. I can't do this alone but I can't prolong taking them all at individual times. I predict it will be a McDonald's or eat all the candy you want kind of evening since the fun starts at 3:45pm.
There was a nice day last week and we went outside b/c the days are coming when we won't be able to be outside much. I thought I would make myself useful and rake the leaves into piles for the kids.
They wanted to jump in the piles that were raked in the streets. See. I have standards. I don't let my kids play in the street.
They had a blast. I thought it would be fun for them to slide into the leaf piles but it quickly turned into a game of jumping off the slide into the piles. There were no broken bones or black eyes so it was a win.
He's so big.
