Busy Saturday

Saturday was so busy. We started with a trip to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast. We'd never eaten breakfast there and Miss M was requesting McDonalds so we compromised.

We used the high chair for Kit-Kat for the first time. It worked quite well.  She's a good eater. Well. She's good at picking up food and dropping it in her lap. I don't know how much food she eats vs how much food ends up in her chair, chin, clothes, or floor.
We then hauled the five of us to Nordstrom to buy new shoes for Kit-Kat. Baby socks don't stay on so I wanted to get her shoes for when she crawls around outside on the concrete.  She got a tiny pair of whale shoes that seem to successfully stay on her feet until we take them off.
After spending over a half hour in the dressing room at Nordstrom trying to entertain three kids while Andrew tried on new clothes we rushed home to get Miss M ready for a birthday party for one of her classmates.  It was our first drop-off party...score for me.  The place had all sorts of things for the kids to do and rotated the activities every so often. I learned this from a parent whose kid did not want her to drop and run. Sucker.  Here is Miss M and her best friend painting their canvases.
And doing something else crafty. I wasn't there so I don't know!
I went and picked her up around 3:30pm and then we rested and watched tv (I assume) and waited until we had to get dressed in warm clothes to go watch our babysitter at her final ice skating show.  We arrived just in time to see her skate in her second performance.  At intermission we went to the lobby to see her and on our way we found flowers to buy for her.
Miss M was so happy to see Kayleen skate.
But by the middle of the second half she was toast.  She was so tired. I think if it wasn't cold (b/c we were sitting on the bleachers on the ice) she would have just laid down and fallen asleep.
She rebounded when Kayleen came over to the bleachers to say 'hi' after the show.
After the show we all came home and crashed!
