The day has come when I get to send Big Will to school twice a week for 2.5 hours each day. He's only had 3 classes but he's taken well to going to school. The first day I was reminded how much more work it is to drop off a Star Room child than the older classrooms. In the older classrooms you drop off, say good-bye and then sign the child in. In the star room you have to guide the child to the room, get their bag put away in the cubbie, get them to wash their hands and make sure they are comfortable and then leave. I don't mind getting him settled in rather I was just surprised how quickly I had forgotten there was more work involved with a 2 year old.
He likes to play with the trucks at school as this is the only thing he tells me he does.
Big Will got a Thomas backpack. He is a bit possessive of his bag.
Side by side picture of Big Will on the first day of preschool last year. He's gotten so much bigger and so much more hair.
I think it's going to be a good year. I am working my hardest to find a way to get Cater into school next year. I am not ready for them to be done with preschool but I look forward to sending them off.
