MY Birthday

Thursday was my birthday.  The kids were confused why it wasn't their birthday. Big Will started crying asking where his presents were. 

Janan went out to Casey's and bought me a large fountain Diet Mt. Dew and donuts. Breakfast of champions. Casey's donuts are the best. 

The kids apparently didn't understand that b/c it was my birthday they needed to get along. They started fighting over a toy. It was an irreplaceable toy. About the time they both pulled from different directions I lost it. It wasn't pretty. Everyone got thrown in their room with strict instructions to remain there. Miss M, of course, shows back up 15 minutes later. Big Will, he took a nap.  While the little ones napped Janan let me go ride my bike to calm down. It was a great ride. It made me sad that River Road to Montrose is closed part about 9 miles from Janan's house.

After nap time and before my birthday dinner I took the kids to the old rocket park with the new rocket slide. Confused yet. Yea. Me too.  Miss M kept asking to take her to the park with the horse merry-go-round. I had no clue where she wanted me to take her. Janan had to fill me in. It's possible we have covered every playground/park in Keokuk by now.

She named the yellow horse Daffodil.

Here's the new rocket side at the old rocket park. It was a death trap for anyone younger than Miss M. The ladders were tricky to climb. There wasn't a lot of space to play inside the rocket ship. There were open areas to fall out of the rocket ship. I was glad we rode the merry-go-round for 30 minutes before our final 10 minutes of play at the rocket slide.

I got back to the house around 5:55pm. Everyone was supposed to be ready to leave by 6pm for dinner in Burlington.  Glen willingly watched all three kids and all three kids were alive and in their beds upon returning home around 9:30pm.  

Diane (in the back) is Janan's neighbor. Her daughters are in front of her (Lindsay & Kelsey). Kelsie dates Janan's son (who lives on the farm). Janan invited Kathy b/c she's always up for anything and Mollie was able to go with us b/c her birthday was two days later. Birthday-palooza dinner!!
