Dates!!

We (my friends Cyn and Alex and I) had bought the girls tickets to see Aladdin. We got all dressed up and went to the city for a fun afternoon at the theater followed by dinner.  The play was so much more impressive than I ever could have imagined.  I would see it again in a heartbeat.  The Genie in the play was incredible.  He was the best part of the entire show.
We stopped by to see Andrew after the show.  He took our picture.
The other two are getting old enough to realize they are being left out.  This lead me to decide to plan dates for each of them.  I had heard that the American Girl store had a nice cafe where you could do afternoon tea.  Miss M had been bugging me to take her to afternoon tea and Cate loves babies more than anything. It was a perfect combination to please the girls.  Willie was happy enough to come alone.

Cater picked her baby to bring to tea.
Miss M picked hers.
Willie brought five cars.
The tea was perfect. They offered juice and hot cocoa for the kids. I got a mimosa and tea.  The kids got chocolate cake bites. I got scones and biscotti. It was a win for everyone.
Presentation of dessert.
Willie couldn't take all the energy and excitement of the doll store and crashed on the way home.  He was so good and didn't ask for much :) He always asks for something but was fine with knowing his date was coming up.  American Girl is no dummy.  The cafe is in the back of the second floor so you have to walk through the entire store before making it to the cafe.  Needless to say we didn't come out empty handed.
Will got to go to the Bears preseason game with Andrew and our friends Adam and Evelyn.  He was excited to eat some stadium food (like all normal people!) and hang out with Andrew.  I think he loved the attention and telling the girls they weren't going to go with him.

A late night train ride home from the game sealed the deal.
