We headed to the land of Iowa over labor day weekend. There were plans for a family reunion with Andrew's immediate and extended family. The family reunion was scheduled for all day Sunday. We headed over to Iowa on Friday. Saturday we went to a cousin's house to watch football and let the kids play and see his new house. After the football game, we loaded up the minivan and headed to Nauvoo to meet up with Nathan and Cathy and cousins. There is a family favorite restaurant the boys like to go to for nostalgia. After we stuffed our guts full of everything from salad, muffins, meat, mashed potatoes, corn, pudding and everything in between we headed to the local carnival/fair held down the street. We bought tickets so the kids could ride the rides and run around. It was a rather expensive but everyone had fun so it was worth it :)
The giant slide with the gunnysacks is a crowd favorite. The ride includes Miss M (blue), Audrey (yellow) and Willie (red).
She was all in on the rides.
Aunt Callie took the girls on big (throw up) rides. I thought Miss M was going to cry and puke everywhere. She was laughing with excitement but I think inside she was scared to death.
Even the big girls (Ella and Bella) had a fun night.
