Little of this and that

Our days aren't always full of child-friendly fun filled activities.  Some days we have to do necessary evils.  Like go to crossfit.  I started a six week boot camp class three days a week.  I go M/W/F while the kids are in school.  Except the kids aren't in school on Friday so they tag along and sit on the bench with their iPads and hang out while I work out.

Will catching Cater in the action.  It's all in the eyebrows.
Willie's photography skills.
He's discovering new things on the ipad/phone all the time.  Taking pictures of himself and looking at pictures of himself are his favorite things to do.
We dropped the kids off at Parents Night Out at the gym and ran for our lives.  We ran straight over to the new restaurant that opened in town.  Kid free dinners are always appreciated.
We hang out at our friends' house.  They redid their outdoor space and now we sit and watch the kids play and run around.  Willie and Alex are in the middle of a mean game of ball.

Homework.  Homework. Homework.  My eyes can't roll enough.  She's pretty good at doing her homework once we get started. It's the act of starting that seems most difficult for us.  Currently we need to start homework but they are finishing up an episode of Dinosaur Train.
Finding ways to make doing spelling words fun and entertaining to eliminate screaming from all parties.
She complains every single morning about going to school.  She complains every single day about doing homework.  The minute she can play school and be in charge she's all in.  And the little two follow everything they tell her too.  It's amazing how they idolize her.
Andrew came home late one night.  We stayed up to chat and were sitting on the couch when we got a late night text saying we were an aunt and uncle again. Sweet baby Piper was born and made everyone who was waiting for her cry with happiness.
Don't you love that face?
Miss M and I went on a girls trip to Rockford, IL. There was a craft market one Saturday morning.  We woke up and wandered around for hours. We bought a few goodies but mostly looked at all the things for sale.  She was a great partner.  And look how stylish she is.
Andrew loves nothing more than to go to brunch on the weekends.  We have a favorite establishment we like to frequent.  One morning he thought it would be a good idea to ride bikes.  I didn't own a bike that can be ridden at a child's pace.  I could have run along with them but thought it best to drive the car in case any of them couldn't make the return trip.  I am pretty sure Andrew's the only one who made the return trip on a bike.
Shortly after the bike to brunch adventure I bought a new (to me) bike from Craigslist.  I am in love with the new bike. The kids and I biked to school every day until it got too cold/wet/windy for me to deal with it.
Will wanted to pose at Costco. He thought this was set up as the perfect chair.
Just another day where a kid thinks they are a puppy/kitty/bunny/insert other random animal.
