Miss M's first day of 1st Grade

In an attempt to help the first day of school go smoothly Miss M took a shower, did her hair, and laid out her clothes.  She was ready to roll.  

She ended up in our bed sometime in the middle of the night.  She looks like she sleeps so peacefully but really she sleeps like a maniac.

Andrew was out of town so the kids and I walked her to school.  I will honor the tradition of walking to school on the first day (and National Walk to School Day - if it's not raining!) but come the second day...it's back to the bus.

Her dress and backpack match which still gets her excited.

We met our friends/neighbors at school.

The nerves start to set in when she gets in line for the first time.

The littles and I came home and played outside. The kids get along so well during the day when it's the two of them.

The littles when we picked up the bigs from school.  The littles were just as excited to see each other as the bigs were.
