2. We received a birth certificate for Miss M. And we only had to pay $50 for it. Thank you City. It's amazing you're still so broke.
3. Aunt Annessa is joining the circus. Yep. Miss M and I went to trapeze school to watch her. Okay. She's not joining the circus, but she could with the trapeze skills she's gaining. I bet she would meet all kinds of fun people!
Miss M watching the trapeze show.
4. Round 2 of family competition has begun. This month's challenge isn't too difficult. It consists of 1) taking a vitamin 2) drinking 40 ozs of water 3) not eating fried food.
No big deal right?
Nope!
But then the next month with no sweets. I heart sweets.
And the following month is no soda or alcohol. This is almost enough of a deal breaker for me.
Giving up soda. It just plain ticks me off. Why does it bother me so much? I have pondered this over the last few days.
This is what I have come up with...since having Miss M, I feel I have given up just about everything. Please note I did not say everything...but just about everything.
I have given up my body (not sure the stomach will ever look the same), my b@@bs (nope-she owns them for now), showering once a day, doing my hair (thank heavens for a ponytail -as unattractive as they are) and make-up, my bed (yes, I know I created this problem but that's not the point - point is it's given up), wearing clean clothes that don't smell of spit-up, and really the list could go on.
Do I mind giving these things up? No. Not usually. So why does giving up soda make me so sad. Probably because when the days get long something as simple as a soda makes it a bit better.
My goal is to stop complaining about it. It's still a few months away. I am trying to get away from planning on donating $30 to the pot. Maybe the competitive bug will bite soon. Maybe. It better bite hard bc I love soda a lot.
5. Miss M still isn't too into her bottle. I put some water in it yesterday to just let her play with it/practice and she wouldn't create much of a mess. She didn't hate it but it wasn't a hit. Same experience with a sippy cup. But she liked grabbing for and chewing on the sippy cup.
6. Our local Costco put in a gas station. The gas price was $.40 less than non-Costco gas station prices when I drove by the other day. I think Miss M and I will go fill up on cheap gas later today! Excitement!
That's all for now. Are you impressed with how exciting our life is?

I love the butt ruffles on M's outfit! I'm also kind of jealous of the trapeze class.
