M tried a sippy cup. M wasn't impressed. We are going to keep trying. We didn't expect her to figure it out right now as she's still pretty young. I would like it if she figured it out sooner than later since she rejects the bottle. Most of the time M not taking a bottle isn't a big deal but there are times when it makes life more complicated.
We filled M's sippy cup with apple juice which is new for her too! However, I'm sure she wouldn't have liked the sippy cup anymore with milk. Trust me. We gave her some diluted apple juice because the girl who has been an excellent pooper has just stopped pooping. Unfortunately, the apple juice didn't get things moving. I think today is day six. She doesn't seem to be miserable or in pain. I called the doctor's office and they said it was normal.
But she does like chewing/sucking/licking Sophie.
We also tried cereal. It wasn't a success but it wasn't a complete failure either.
M got all dressed up. Not exactly a first but not exactly an everyday event.
She was fussing a bit and wanted to be held a lot. The Bjorn was in the car so we busted out the other carrier we borrowed from some friends. It might actually be an option. She liked it.
We went to a wedding in Indiana on Sunday. We decided to make life easier and stay overnight. Yep. We took the swing.
The hotel had a pool. I thought since M loves the bath and the pool is essentially a big bath then she would love the pool. Nope. She only liked the pool when she was watching from the side.
We will try again in two weeks when we head to Ohio, but I think my hopes of going to baby/mommy swim class, starting at 4 months, is out of the question. At least for a little while longer. Stink.
Well, all in all, the trip to Indiana was a success. On the way home we ended up heading to the outlet mall and driving around a few beach towns. We stopped for some pizza and gelato (a first for Gramma). Gramma and M wore their patriotic clothes.
And a happy Independance Day it was! Thanks for coming and playing and helping Gramma D. See ya soon!
