Some R&R

This past weekend we loaded up the car and headed to Michigan for some R&R with some friends at their lake house. Packing with and for a babe is a lot of work when you have to tote everything down the stairs of the apartment but having your own Annessa makes life that much easier. She's coming over Tuesday too...I heart when school's out for the summer!

The car ride was two hours and Miss M was a great traveler. She has been revolting against the car seat so it's touch and go with traveling (or just going to the store). We left the city around 3 pm which means someone didn't have to work a full day! I love half days at work and leaving at 3pm is a half day.

We had a great time. Miss M was amazing on Saturday (even without a nap). I think the lake was calming for her and therefore for the rest of us too!

She was mesmerized by the lake.








We didn't put her in the water since we were on a roll with a happy girl. And since the pool episode from last weekend didn't go as planned we thought we wouldn't risk upsetting her.

She liked putting her feet in the water and moving them around in the sand.

Those are some pasty thighs. Yikes.






We got home early Sunday and enjoyed a bit more R&R on the couch.
